How do I place a new order?
Ordering is simple. All you have to do is go to your desired product and click "add product to cart". Doing this will add that item to your shopping cart. From there, you can either continue shopping or "proceed to checkout". Once you have chosen all the products that you wish to purchase, just click on the "check out" button.
What method of payments are accepted?
Credit Card - CycloneOnline.co.nz utilises a secure payment gateway for Visa and MasterCard credit card payments which is endorsed by our bank, Westpac. Your credit card details are not kept on file by CycloneOnline.co.nz or any other affiliated parties. If paying by credit card you will be charged in full at the time of placing your order. This does not guarantee immediate shipment of your order. Please note that there is a 1.6% Merchant Card Fee added to your credit card payment.
Internet Direct Credit - This is our preferred method of payment. If you select 'Internet Direct Credit' as the payment option, then you will be prompted with details of our bank account information and a reference number for you to add to the payment information. You are then able to use your own online banking facility to make the payment right away. Once we have confirmed receipt of the payment (usually next business day) then we can process your order immediately.
Finance - If paying by finance your finance contract will commence on shipment of the goods and payments will start one month after this date. Payment must be made, or finance must be finalised prior to delivery of your order, unless we agree otherwise in writing at the time of placing the order. Where an institution has an established Cyclone Account orders will be charged against that account.
If I’m paying by cheque or Direct Debit, how long do I have to pay for my goods ?
What happens if I want to cancel my order?
Your order can be cancelled within 14 days (before opening/using goods). If you have paid by credit card, or the product has been shipped, cancellation fees may apply. Please contact Cyclone Computers for more information.
Can I return a product?
Right of Return. If you are unhappy with any product* you have purchased from us, you may at anytime, within 14 days of the shipment date to you, return the product to us for a full refund (less any associated freight charges incurred by us), providing; the product is unopened and in original saleable condition; and the product is accompanied by an RMA number issued by us.
Faulty Returns. Goods will only be accepted if the product concerned is deemed to be faulty by Cyclone and is accompanied by an RMA number issued by us.
*As a result of the copyright laws a refund or exchange is only available for software purchases if the product is defective.
Who is Eligible for Education Pricing?
Educational pricing is available to NZQA Institutions and Parents purchasing on behalf of their child who is a student at a NZQA Institution and who is part of an approved Cyclone one to one programme in New Zealand.
Education Individual Sales.
Orders for Education Individuals are for personal use whilst you are enrolled at/or affiliated with an Authorised Education Institution in New Zealand. Therefore there maybe a restriction on the quantity of units you are able to purchase. Items purchased as an Education Individual are sold to you on the understanding that they are for you personal use and not for commerical gain.
Can I obtain NZ All of Government Pricing?
If your institutional is an approved Participating Agency then the AOG pricing is available to your institution. Please call Angela on 0800 585 040 to confirm your eligibility.
If you are eligible and already registered with AOG, please register on the Cyclone site and this pricing will be made available to you.
Microsoft Office University FAQs
What is Microsoft Office University? Microsoft Office University 2010 and Microsoft Office for Mac University 2011 are boxed products (with DVD, no product key) that replace Microsoft Office Professional Academic 2010 and Microsoft Office for Mac Academic 2011. The new product name reflects the updated customer eligibility: Microsoft Office University is for students and teaching staff of accredited tertiary institutions (including universities and polytechnics) only.
Who is eligible to buy Microsoft Office University? You must have a valid email address at one of the educational institutions listed here
Microsoft Office University 2010 and Microsoft Office for Mac University 2011 are for students and teaching staff of accredited tertiary institutions (including universities and polytechnics) only. If you are a student, you must be enrolled in a tertiary education institution geographically located in New Zealand. You must have at least 15 hours of scheduled contract time per week for your course. Your course must be minimum 12 weeks duration. If you are a member of staff, you must be employed (at least 8 hours or 4 teaching hours per week) at a tertiary institution geographically located in New Zealand. Check you are eligible from this list of eligible institutions
Primary school and secondary school (K-12) students are NOT eligible for Microsoft Office University.
What is the recommended product for families with primary and secondary school (K-12) students? Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010 will continue to be the recommended product for parents and families with K-12 students.
Does Microsoft Office University contain a Product Key? Microsoft Office University 2010 and Microsoft Office for Mac University 2011 products do not contain a product key. Customers who purchase a boxed version of the product will be required to verify their tertiary student or teaching staff status online after purchase but before receiving the product key or activating the product. This product will not work without successful verification as the customer will not have a product key.
If you encounter problems retrieving your Product Key using your PIN, please call Microsoft on 0800 800 004 or contact them online via https://academic.getmicrosoftkey.com/Home/Support. If you do not get a resolution please contact our customer service team on 0508 292 5663.
How will a tertiary student or teaching staff member know how to use the product? The packaging clearly communicates customer eligibility along with notification that proof of eligibility is required before a user can use this software. Packaging content includes:
Eligibility: Full and part time, enrolled students and teaching staff of accredited tertiary institutions (including universities and polytechnics). Alumni of these institutions are ineligible.
Submit Proof: You will be required to verify your eligibility online to use this software.
1. Go to www.offi ce.com/verify and enter the PIN located inside this package.
2. Log on with your Windows Live ID, or create one using any email address.
3. Provide your valid educational institution email address or logon, or international student identity card (ISIC).
What is the steps I need to take once purchased? Customer buys a Microsoft Office University product. The Office University box contains a PIN instead of a product key and instructions for redemption of a product key. Once DVD package received, the customer goes to www.office.com/verify and provides their email address or logon, or international student identity card (ISIC). Once they pass verification, the online site displays the product key.
What if someone other than a tertiary student or teaching staff member of an accredited tertiary institution buys this product?
If someone other than a tertiary student or teaching staff member of an accredited tertiary institution buys this product, it cannot be used. Returns of the product are at the discretion of the Cyclone Computers.
What happens if I fail to verify that I am a student or teaching staff of an accredited tertiary institution? If you purchase and open the product and are not eligible, it is at our discretion to determine refund eligibility. Returns will not be honoured in most cases due to opened product. If you are a tertiary student or teaching staff member of an accredited tertiary institution and cannot verify through the online verification process, you will be provided a manual verification process where they can submit their valid educational institution identification for manual verification (via the Microsoft website). Can I use the product key obtained from the Microsoft Office University 2010 verification process to activate Office 2010 software on a "preloaded PC"?
Yes. The Office University 2010 product key can "unlock" the Office 2010 software on a preloaded PC.

Adobe Student Edition Software FAQs (Products)
Q. Do students and teachers need a code to activate the product for use? A. Yes, you need a serial number before you can install the software. You must request this from Adobe by online registration with proof of your eligibility. Instructions located inside the box.
Q. Can students and teachers return or exchange this product? A. No, the product cannot be exchanged or returned. For this reason, please verify before purchasing whether you are an eligible user.
Q. Do you need to provide evidence of eligibility? A. Yes, you must apply for a serial number from Adobe by e-mail or fax and include proof of eligibility with your application. This process can take up to 72 hours.
Q. What is the difference between education and student/teacher product? A. Student and teacher product is verified post purchase and ONLY for students and teachers. Education product is available for anyone with education ID and comes with a serial number ready to use.
Q. Do Adobe® Student and Teacher Editions have restricted functionality? A. Adobe Student and Teacher Editions give the end user all the features and functionality of the commercial versions. However, Student and Teacher Edition software is for installation solely on private computers.
Q. Can a Student and Teacher Edition also be used for commercial purposes? A. Yes.
Q. How many versions of a Student and Teacher Edition can be purchased? A. Each eligible person may purchase only one Student and Teacher Edition per product. If further copies are bought by the same person, no serial number will be issued for them.
Q. How many computers can a Student and Teacher Edition be used on? A. A Student and Teacher Edition license can be installed on up to two computers (for example, a desktop and laptop). Activation ensures that no more than two computers can have the same serial number.
Q. Can I upgrade from a Student and Teacher Edition? A. Yes, a Student and Teacher Edition can be upgraded to a commercial version.
Q. Can I resell a Student and Teacher Edition? A. No, a Student and Teacher Edition may neither be sold by the licencee nor given to others for free.
Q. Can I use a Student and Teacher Edition on a computer at school? A. No, you may use your Student and Teacher Edition only on your own private computer.
Q. Are the products received the current version of the software? A. Yes, all products are the most up-to-date version.
Q. What is included in the Student Edition Box? A. Inside the box you will find the product CD and a sheet of paper with a unique coupon code required to request your license serial number from Adobe and the instructions on what you need to complete this. There is a 30 day trial of the software that can be used while waiting on this license serial number.
Q. Are manuals included with the products? A. The product package contains no printed manual. The documentation is provided in electronic form on the CD.
Q. Which platforms are supported by the Student Edition? A. Versions are available for both Windows® and Mac OS platforms.
Q. Does the Student Edition have restricted functionality? A. No.
Q. Is there a time limit on using the Student Edition? A. No, there is no time limit on using the Student Edition.
Adobe Student and Teacher Editions are for use by: University and college students - students enrolled at a higher education institution defined as an accredited public or private university or college (including community, junior, or vocational college) that grants degrees requiring not less than the equivalent of two years of full-time study. Primary and secondary school students - students enrolled at an accredited public or private primary or secondary school providing full-time instruction. Faculty and staff - teachers and staff employed by an accredited primary or secondary school, or a public or private university or college.
Q. How must evidence of eligibility be provided? A. Proof of eligibility will be requested during the process of registering your software online to receive your license serial number. You will be asked to upload a evidence to prove your student status (please see below).
Required proof of eligibility - The following is needed to provide evidence of eligibility: Students - must provide a photocopy of a valid, current student ID that includes the student's name, date, and a photo. If the student does not have such an ID, he or she must instead provide a photocopy of a valid photo ID and one of the following items: - Official, current non-photo student ID with name and date - Official, current school transcript indicating name of school and student - Official, current school tuition bill indicating name of school and student - Official, current report card indicating name of school and student - Other official dated proof of enrollment Students who are under 18 and do not have a valid photo ID may provide an official letter from their eligible school stating their name and current enrollment status. Teachers, faculty, and staff - must provide a photocopy of a valid, current school ID that includes their name, date, and a photo. If the individual does not have such an ID, he or she must instead provide a photocopy of a valid photo ID and one of the following items: - Faculty or staff paycheck stub - Official letter from the registrar of the educational institution
Q. How can I be sure that I am eligible? A. On the Adobe website, the conditions of eligibility are listed. If you are not sure whether you are eligible, please ask your reseller or send an e-mail query to edu-online@adobe.com.
